The goal is to help people overcome the economic fallacies which are the source of our socioeconomic problems. This page assumes the reader already understands how economic freedom and the resulting economic competition, not only motivates the creation and spread of superior ideas and social order as companies compete/innovate and copy each other’s innovations, but also how freedom/competition is what also “civilizes” our morals and culture so that everyone regardless of age/sex/race/etc. gets along and the economic pie and everything just increases in progress/prosperity. A basic explanation of this is provided in my introductory campaign video.
I am essentially trying to use whatever publicity and ability to reach famous or influential people running for office can bring me to help spread and understanding of economics. Since I am running for office and live in the Seattle/Bellevue/Redmond area, if I can reach the likes of Bill Gates or Jeff Bezos and other wealthy and increasingly influential IT leaders , and turn them into full-blown Mises-and-Hayek quoting “Austrian Economists”, this campaign will have obviously been a monumental success.
Running for office is a great way to place yourself where concerned citizens look so one can easily become a beacon of ideas and I hope to do that to the best of my ability.
Again, if we can simply educate enough people within the IT industry and lead to a sort of chain-reaction of economic understanding within the IT world, that would be a huge win since it is the IT world that is full of today’s most ambitious intellectual dreamers, it is the IT world and the Facebooks, and Youtubes etc. who have the power to quickly disseminate ideas. Thus if we can really get these people to overcome the usual socialist economic fallacies which constantly resurface and destroy civilization, that would be great.
I’ve yet to properly research/setup ability to get political donations and leave it up to the ingenuity of fellow free-marketeers to help me and use my campaign as a way to help spread the econogospel. I think just sharing my introductory video around, especially to people/facebook groups etc. populated by people in my district would be great. Again, trying to get famous people (movie stars, musicians, etc.) to understand economics and become supporters is something I really want to focus on.
The Big-Money Hayekians
On March 2019 the famed auction house Sotheby’s auctioned some of 1974 Nobel Laureate in Economics F.A. Hayek’s belongings and previous online records were shattered. The smart money knows that F.A. Hayek is the towering intellectual of the last 100 years. These people are out there. Maybe I can find them and persuade them to help me spread the Misesian freedom econogospel with more resources.
